What’s in Anthony Improgo’s mind pours out in the shoegaze-influenced dreampop from his solo project LOWLAH. The lyrics for the songs started swirling around in Anthony’s thoughts after his father died. He wanted to channel that hurt into his own recordings, but he was a drummer in a band, Parade of Lights, signed to a major label that was having some success. At the end of 2018, Anthony started writing all those words in his head into songs with hooks and melodies with a sound influenced by the artists of his youth; and, in the process, teaching himself how to record and produce better than he ever had.
The writing and recording would have to take a break when Anthony was involved in a serious skiing accident that left him close to being paralyzed. While his skiing helmet saved his life, he knew LOWLAH would save his mind. After releasing his first EP "Always", Anthony has set his sights higher by not only making more music but doing everything else himself: mixing and mastering his music, shooting and editing his music videos, designing artwork, handling his social media production and marketing, and being his own PR advocate. The music video for “Can You Hear Me Now” was shot, directed, produced & edited by Anthony in the Arizona desert. It embodies the #360Artist ethos.
